Description
The purpose of this course is to develop instructional employees' understanding of theories, skills, and knowledge which will enable them to use WIDA data for ELLs to design data-driven intentional lesson plan and to provide comprehensible instructional delivery for ELL students at varying English proficiency levels.

Learner outcomes may include:a. Participants demonstrating understanding that language is a system to support ELLs’ acquisition of English at varying proficiency levels (AL).
b. Participants planning and delivering lessons that include English language acquisition and meeting the needs of ELLs at varying English proficiency levels (CM).
c. Participants demonstrating strategies that support ELLs’ learning of academic content and language for measurable academic progress (CU).
d. Participants applying knowledge of evidence-based practices and requirements in the field of ESOL (MT).
e. Participants designing instruction informed by teachers assessing student understanding in multiple ways. Participants using assessment data to identify the appropriate instructional approach, selecting appropriate scaffolds, guiding differentiation of instruction, and using corrective feedback (TE).
