PL-Belleview Middle School Professional Learning Plan Inservice Day: Chapter 5 and break out groups for deep dive into rigorous instruction.

We will utilize the Early Release and In-service days to focus on the book study "Rigor by Design, Not by Chance." Teachers will participate in breakout sessions in which data will be analyzed, and they will use state-aligned planning tools to ensure instruction meets the depth of the standards, including BIG-M for mathematics, benchmark breakdown documents for ELA, reading, and social studies, and science item specifications and released test items. Teachers will evaluate Tier 1 instruction for rigor and engagement and will conclude by planning targeted small group instruction that maintains access to grade-level content while addressing student needs.
