Description

he New Teacher Academy (NTA) focuses on supporting novice and early career teachers as they develop skills to plan engaging, standards‑aligned instruction. Participants will learn to clarify benchmarks, plan intentional teacher and student actions, and use assessments to support student learning while collaborating within a supportive community and leaving each session with ready‑to‑use classroom strategies.

Notes

This course focuses on increasing student talk and ownership of learning during collaborative and independent phases of instruction. Participants will develop an understanding of teacher and student moves during these phases of Gradual Release. This course is intended for teachers with 5 or less years teaching experience. Must have a computer with camera and microphone to participate.
