We have an exciting opportunity to strengthen support for our Multilingual Learners in MCPS. Dr. Dorina Ebuwa (“Dr. Dorito”) is a Top-4 Finalist for National Teacher of the Year and a Florida Teacher of the Year, recognized by First Lady Dr. Jill Biden for excellence in equitable teaching and advocacy for Multilingual Learners. With 28 years of experience, Dr. Dorito empowers educators through relationship-based instruction, Transformative Emotional Intelligence (TEI), and practical, classroom-ready strategies that support multilingual learners. Her engaging, high-energy professional learning builds teacher leadership and instructional confidence. One teacher or coach from each school will bring back the information to share with their colleagues and peers.
