Winter 2026 Sessions Onboarding Training for New ML Paraprofessionals
Who Should Attend: ML Paraprofessionals with less than 15 months of experience since September 2024 or for newly hired ML Paraprofessionals
When: Three sessions (class size is limited); all sessions are from 8 AM to 11 AM;
Where: Choose one session to attend at Ross Prairie, Wyomina, or Saddleback

Session topics include:
• Understanding your role as an ML paraprofessional
• Exploring WIDA training sites and ELLevation tools
• Championing ML students
• Who is an ML? Understanding newcomers vs. MLs
• Push-in Power: effective in-class support strategies
• Making learning accessible through accommodations that work
• Documentation and completion of ML Para Service Logs
• Understanding ELLevation cycles and collaboration with teachers
• Partnering with families
• Strategies for success and available resources
