Description

This course will be on-going throughout the 25-26 SY. We will begin the year with and overview of 24-25 school data and basic principles of Cambridge highlighting the Cambridge Attributes and Global Perspectives. Course work will continue on each Early Release day for the 25-26 SY. Participants will examine what it means to be a Cambridge school, the Cambridge Learner Attributes, and how BEST Benchmarks and Cambridge standards intertwine to support and enhance student success. The sessions will feature the integration of Cambridge learner attributes in every lesson. Teachers will receive coaching in Cambridge instructional methods highlighting Global Perspective course. The learner sessions will be on-going throughout the 25-26 school year on early release days. Sessions will be facilitated by a combination Cambridge teacher leads.

Notes
Participants will collaboratively plan benchmark-based instruction using the Structured Teaching Gradual Release model. Participants will be examining the district provided lesson plans to ensure the depth of the benchmark is met while differentiating to ensure the needs of individual learners are met. Teachers will adapt lesson plans based on data derived from benchmark assessments, FAST progress monitoring, and formative assessments designed to measure student progress toward mastery of the benchmarks. Participants will meet with the CAS, AP and/or Principal bi-weekly on Wednesday during specials throughout the 25-26 school year.
