Description

This comprehensive 504 training equips participants with foundational skills to support students with disabilities under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. The session covers key federal and state laws, emphasizing procedural safeguards and grievance procedures to protect students' rights. Participants will learn to identify and address discrimination, understand the definition of Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE), and navigate the Section 504 process from referral to implementation. Special attention will be given to reevaluation procedures and managing disability-based behaviors to ensure equitable access to education for all students.
