Objectives for this component may include:
a. Participants will be able to define “child abuse” and “child neglect,” according to Florida law.
b. Participants will be able to explain what teachers and school personnel must do when they suspect child abuse or neglect.
c. Participants will be able to outline the legal responsibility, according to Florida law, of school personnel in reporting suspected child abuse and neglect.
d. Participants will learn to identify local community resources that provide help for the child and his/her family
