Full course description
This course is geared towards teachers who have participated in Collaborative Teaching and Planning courses. Participants will engage in activities to increase their knowledge of research-based inclusive practices to meet the needs of students with disabilities. Inclusion teaching partners (ESE Inclusion & General Education Inclusion teachers) will examine service delivery models and curricular supports available to serve students in their least restrictive environment (LRE). Participants will gain a better understanding of effective collaborative roles, structures, and individual working styles. Teacher “teams” will discuss how these research-based inclusive practices can be effectively implemented in their classrooms to improve outcomes for students with disabilities and non-disabled students as well. Participants will extend their knowledge of Specially Designed Instructional strategies in the collaborative classroom.
